The Sharp Weather Station, equipped with an atomic clock, features an integrated receiver that self-synchronizes with the WWVB radio signal from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Fort Collins, Colorado. This Atomic Clock maintains an accuracy of within one second by receiving updates from the WWVB signal each day.
• ELECTRIC POWERED with ON DEMAND BACKLIGHT BATTERY OPERATION: Plug into weather station into standard household wall outlet – The Sharp Weather Station is compatible with 110V/120V power outlets - to power the Sharp Weather Station with “always on” display. Will also work on Battery Optional Mode (Main unit 3 x AA batteries - Sensor 2 x AAA batteries (not included). While operating under battery power, use the BACKLIGHT button to illuminate the display for 5 seconds.
